How to measure your head size
Measure Your Head
Measuring for your head size is easy.
You can use a tape measure (or a length of string that you can later hold up to a tape measure or a ruler) to determine the length.
- Place the string or tape around your head about 1/8” or 0.5 cm above your ears, and wrap your tape (or string) across the mid-forehead and around to completely encircle your head.
This is the widest part of your head and where your cap or hat will sit when you wear it.
- Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly.
- Note the measurement and use the hat size chart below to determine your hat size. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next size up.
Conversion between inches and centimeters
If you need to convert from inches to centimeters
1 inch = 2.54 centimeters
e.g. 23.5 inches = 23.5 x 2.54 cm = 59.69 cm

One size or “One Size Fit Most” = OSFM
Many caps or hats are manufactured with adjustable bands or fasteners and comes in one size.
These types of headwear will most probably fit you without any problem.
Grouped sizing
Headwear with grouped sizing S, M, L, XL, XXL are simply grouped as 2 head sizes under each size category as shown in the table.
Paper ruler (choose either A4 download or Letter download)
If you do not have a tape measure handy and wish to use the paper ruler provided please make sure your printer settings are not set for “scaling or reduce to fit”.
Also depending on which ruler you use, have the paper selection set appropriately to A4 or Letter.
